Wesley Fritz enters his second season at Georgia Southern, and his first in the role of Director of Player Personnel with Eagle Football. Fritz’s primary responsibilities include managing recruiting events, maintaining the Eagles’ recruiting database and recruiting board.
Prior to the 2015 season Fritz served as a Graduate Assistant for the Eagle Football program, primarily working with recruiting/player personnel.
He received his Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University in Kinesiology followed by his master’s degree in Coaching Education from Georgia Southern University. Prior to Sam Houston State, he earned his associate’s degree from State Fair Community College & was named the “Male Student-Athlete of the Year”. At Sam Houston State, Fritz was a 2-year letter winner for the Bearkats in basketball. He graduated from Warrensburg High School (MO) in 2008 where he played both basketball & football for the Tigers.
The son of Georgia Southern head football coach Willie Fritz, Wes has three sisters and currently resides in Statesboro.
