2024 SEASON: Appeared in all 29 matches and 102 sets as the team's libero • Had one of the greatest libero seasons in school history, finishing with the second-most digs per set (5.47) and sixth-most digs (547) in school history • Had double-digit digs in all 29 games, 20+ ten times and 30 or more twice • Started the season with 26 digs against Wofford in four sets (Aug. 30), leading to first DPOTW honors • Broke three-set program record with 31 digs against North Carolina A&T (Sep. 12) • Had another 30 digs in three sets against Western Carolina (Sep. 20) • Notched first-career double-double at Marshall with 20 digs and 10 assists (Oct. 4) • Picked up 28 digs in five-set thriller against Troy (Oct. 11) • Ended Georgia Southern career with 29 digs in NIVC loss against Northern Colorado (Dec. 7) • Led Sun Belt in digs per set, finished third in total digs • Seventh in the NCAA in digs per set and 27th in digs • Named All-Sun Belt Second Team.
2023 SEASON: Appeared as the libero in all 116 sets • Finished first in the Sun Belt and 41st in the NCAA with 528 digs • Moved up to fourth on the program's all-time digs list after starting the year in 12th • Broke the single-match program record for digs in the first round of the NIVC with 45 against Winthrop • Recorded 20 or more digs seven times, 30 or more twice • Had a then-career-high 35 digs at James Madison (Oct. 26) • Had 28 digs and nine assists against Charleston (Sep. 1) • Notched three aces at Troy (Nov. 9).
2022 SEASON: Played in 99 sets in 27 matches • Ranked 15th nationally and second in the Sun Belt in aces (0.51/set) and was second in the conference in digs (4.35/set.) • Recorded 431 digs, 50 aces and 81 assists • Reached double-digit digs in 23 contests and had seven contests with 20-plus digs • Posted a season-high 26 digs vs. Georgia State (10/21) • Tallied a season-best eight aces at UNCG (9/3).Â
2021 SEASON: Became the first player in school history to be named the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and the program’s first player to be named Freshman of the Year in any conference • Ranked fourth in the league in digs – first among freshmen - in conference matches with 4.72 per set • Totaled double-figure digs in 15 of 16 league contests and 22 matches overall and posted 20-plus digs eight times • Had just seven reception errors in 254 attempts in conference play and also averaged 0.64 and 0.20 aces per set • Had a season-high 27 digs at Louisiana (9/25) after posting 26 at ULM (9/24) • Matched a season-high five aces to go along with 20 digs in the Sun Belt Tourney vs. ULM (11/18).
Prep: Played for coach Nancy Dorsey at St. James Academy • Finished the 2020 season with 491 digs (5th in Kansas), averaging 6.5 digs per set (4th in Kansas) and 16.4 digs per match (2nd in Kansas) • Senior co-captain with her twin sister, Olivia, who is playing Loyola Chicago • Helped the Thunder to a 28-4 record, and they were ranked as high as ninth nationally in the USA Today Super 25 rankings • St. James finished the year ranked second in Kansas • Named to 2020 All-State 5A Tournament Team, AVCA All-Region Team and earned first-team All-EKL honors • Named Honorable Mention All-EKL in 2019 after helping St. James to a 40-3 record and the 5A state championship game • The Thunder finished the season ranked 20th nationally and first in Kansas.
Personal: Born Ashlyn Marie Lovett July 2, 2003, in Shawnee, Kansas • The daughter of Angie and Wes Lovett • Has an older sister, Grace, and a twin sister, Olivia • Wes played baseball at Kansas State, Grace played softball at Central College and Olivia plays volleyball at Loyola Chicago.
Major: Plans to major in marketing.
