JUNIOR (2012): Missed 2013 spring recovering from injury… Emerged as one of the conference’s top pass rushers and was equally effective in stopping the run… Offers Eagles versatility with ability to play inside and outside, but will continue at defensive end position… Racked up 10.5 tackles for loss (-57 yards), just a half sack behind team leader by Dion DuBose with 11… Tied for team lead with 6.5 sacks (-45 yards) DuBose, good for fourth on the SoCon sacks chart… Had three starts and was one of 20 Eagles to play in all 14 games with three starts… Won third letter award… Has played in 42 games, same number as teammate Blake Riley, missing only one game in 2011… Recorded career-best two sacks versus Elon… Phoenix forced to settle for a field goal at start of fourth quarter after Mention blew past offensive tackle to pull down Phoenix QB for 11-yard sack at 3rd and goal... Had sack in each of the next two games vs. Samford (-3) and at Western Carolina (-8)… Matched career best for tackles for loss at Chattanooga with shoestring tackle for loss (-5) in second OT period to force third and 9 as Mocs would miss field goal… Started the season with sack of Jacksonville QB for five-yard loss and added another solo tackle to his total… Registered tackle for loss (-1) as Eagles held ODU scoreless in fourth quarter… Also had tackle for loss (-2) the week before against Central Arkansas… Credited for fumble recovery at The Citadel… Totaled three quarterback hurries on the year with one each against Wofford, Appalachian State and North Dakota State.

SOPHOMORE (2011): Played in 13 games with eight starts on the defensive line... Started eight-straight games from the third game of the year against Western Carolina (9/24) to Wofford (11/12)... Finished the season with 30 tackles and 16 solo stops... Made eight tackles for loss and two sacks... Also posted six quaterback hurries and one blocked kick... Opened the season with four stops and two tackles for loss at Samford (9/3)... Posted a season-high five tackles at Appalachian State (10/29).

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2010): Contributed in 15 games and earned start at defensive tackle against The Citadel.

FRESHMAN (2009): Redshirted.

PREP: First Team All-Hillsborough County... First Team All-Conference... helped Plant HS win the Class 4A state championship... set a county record with 24 sacks... finished with 88 tackles of which 33 went for a loss his senior year... played for Coach Robert Weiner.
