Eagle Volleyball Receives AVCA's Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced the recipients of the 2026 Team Academic Award and Georgia Southern volleyball was honored as one of the 1,432 programs across all levels of collegiate and high school volleyball.
The AVCA Team Academic Award is evaluated by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least a 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. "It comes as a no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jamie Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."
Georgia Southern women's volleyball begins the 2026 campaign in Manoa, Hawaii, competing in the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic.
