STATESBORO – Texas State (14-11, 7-6 SBC) used a second half push to defeat Georgia Southern (14-11, 6-6 SBC), 77-71, on Wednesday evening at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center.
The Bobcats outscored the Eagles in the closing minutes to secure the road victory. Khayri Dunn led Georgia Southern with 20 points off the bench, shooting 8-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from three-point range. Alden Applewhite added 18 points and seven rebounds, while Spudd Webb finished with 16 points and three assists.

- The Eagles took a one-point lead into the second half, shooting 44 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc, 31-30.
- Texas State opened the half on a run, pushing their lead to 41-34, before Spudd Webb found his way to the rim and deposited an easy layup, 41-36.
- Georgia Southern cut into the Texas State lead, as Khayri Dunn scored his first points of the half, bringing his tally to 14 on the night, 54-47.

- Khayri Dunn's 20 points against Texas State, the most he has tallied this season. The 20-points were the most he has scored since Georgia State to open Sun Belt Conference play.
