- The Sun Belt Tournament race and East Division standings have reached its penultimate weekend of competition, as Georgia Southern's magic number entering the final two East matches is 2. Any combination of the Eagles winning against Georgia State and Appalachian State falling to Marshall will clinch the program's first East Division crown entering the final weekend of competition against South Alabama. Phase four has been about ASCENDING for the Eagles as they continue to climb the flight path and secure the first one-seed in program history in Foley.
- Fourth year setter Lexi Duffy continues to help guide the Eagles through the fourth phase of the season, adding another notch to her storied career on the road in Huntington this past weekend. After setting a career-high in assists on back-to-back weeks, Duffy elevated her play for the third time in as many weeks, posting 59 assists, 17 digs, and four kills to set new career-bests in all three categories. She orchestrated a clean offensive attack, spreading the ball all over the court to help Reagan Barth and Beka Pfefferkorn become the first duo in the country to record 25-plus kills in the same match. Her career weekend added her second Sun Belt Setter of the Week honors, her first since collecting the award after the Eagles swept Old Dominion inside Hanner Fieldhouse.
- The Eagles' duo of big swinging arms showed exactly how high-level they can be as a unit on Thursday evening in Huntington, West Virginia, as Georgia Southern prevailed in five sets behind a balanced offensive attack. Reagan Barth (26) and Beka Pfefferkorn (25) became the first duo this season in the NCAA to record 25-plus kills in the same match, as Pfefferkorn tied a career-high with 25. The duo continues to elevate their level of play, helping lift the Eagles to four-straight conference victories and sole possession of first place in the East Division.Â

The Eagles are second in points per set (17.35), second in opponent hitting percentage (.185), first in hitting percentage (.255), second in assists per set (12.58), first in kills per set (13.82), first in opponent blocks (131.0), and opponent blocks per set (1.49), seventh in blocks (211.5), third in blocks per set (2.40), first in opponent service aces (0.95), second in digs (1,425), and second in digs per set (16.19).
