- The race for the East Division crown begins on Thursday evening in Huntington, West Virginia, as the Eagles head North for two of the final four East Division matches. With the Eagles and Appalachian State tied at the top of the division, the next two weeks against Marshall and Georgia State will decide the one-seed in the East. Both sides are sitting at 7-1 in the East, with the lone loss coming against each other in Boone earlier this season. The Eagles take on Marshall, as the Mountaineers face off against Georgia State, before the two sides flip and play the opposite opponent next weekend.
- Fourth year setter Lexi Duffy continues to help guide the Eagles through the fourth phase of the season, adding another notch to her storied career in Statesboro this past weekend. Duffy collected 74 total assists across two matches this weekend against James Madison, including posting a new career-high 49 on Saturday, as Georgia Southern weathered a first set storm from the Dukes, before winning three consecutive sets to sweep James Madison on the weekend. In her fourth season in Statesboro, Duffy has posted a career-best 547 assists, posting 6.92 per set and adding 26 total kills.
- Second year opposite hitter, Beka Pfefferkorn, shined this past weekend against James Madison en route to her first Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week award. Pfefferkorn posted her second 20-plus kill effort in Georgia Southern's Saturday victory over JMU, collecting 21 on the match to lead the Eagles. For the weekend, Pfefferkorn finished first in kills per set (4.86), seventh in hitting percentage (.377) and second in points scored (36.0).
- One of the most decorated athletes in program history added to her legacy this past weekend, as Reagan Barth surpassed the 1,000 digs mark for her time in Statesboro, becoming the fourth player in program history to secure 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills. Barth joined Martina Veiglova (1,993 kills / 1,179 digs), Bethany Sanford (1,627 kills / 1,315 digs), and Litonya Thompson (1,238 kills / 1,228 digs). Earlier this season, Barth moved into fourth all-time for kills, passing Litonya Thompson (1992-95). She has collected 1,436 total kills, needing 64 kills to hit the 1,500 tally. The Lenexa, Kansas, native has averaged 386.33 kills per season while adding a new career-high 450 in 2025.Â
