Women's Basketball Enters Mid Major Top 25 Poll At No. 20

Georgia Southern earns a ranking in the poll from CollegeInsider.com for the first time in program history
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern has cracked the Women's Basketball Mid Major Top 25 poll, entering at No. 20 with this week's release of the rankings from CollegeInsider.com.
The Eagles (15-5) earn a ranking in the Mid Major poll for the first time in the 16-year history of the rankings from the website. Georgia Southern had been receiving votes for the last month and today vaulted from the sixth team receiving the most votes to the Top 20.
Georgia Southern women's basketball is currently enjoying the best start to a season in the NCAA era at 15-5. The squad is also currently ranked No. 71 in the NCAA's NET rankings, which are used for postseason selection by the NCAA Women's Basketball committee.

The Eagles are next in action on Wednesday, hosting Southern Miss in Sun Belt Conference action from the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center.
