
PREVIEW: Georgia Southern Welcomes Arkansas State and Troy for Sun Belt Tilts

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's basketball concludes its four-game home stand this weekend, hosting Arkansas State and Troy at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center. Tip-off on Thursday is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
Thursday evening, the Eagles will host Retro night, as students are eligible to receive retro striped pants as the giveaway. In addition to the pants, Thursday is $1 hot dog night presented by Texas Roadhouse.
Against Troy on Saturday, the Eagles continue the drink specials on the weekend returning $3 Michelob Ultras at the grab-and-go area. Fans are also encouraged to be in their seats early, as we recognize Tyren Moore on scoring 1,000 career points at Georgia Southern.

- Georgia Southern's 11-game home winning streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday afternoon, as Coastal Carolina stormed back in the final minutes to defeat the Eagles, 79-75 in overtime, to split the season series. The loss at The Hill was the fourth all-time in program history and was the first for the Eagles this season.
- Graduate Tyren Moore shined in Saturday's contest against the Chanticleers, posting a season best 34 points on 12-of-21 shooting. Moore added a 7-of-12 from beyond the arch, tying a career-high of three-pointers made. The Louisville, Kentucky, native produced 55 points this past weekend against Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina, while shooting 11-of-20 (.550) from deep. With his performance last weekend, Moore is now averaging 18.1 points per game in Sun Belt Conference play, the fifth most out of all players.
- The Eagles have made 193 total three-pointers on the season, posting the second most made in the Sun Belt. The Blue and White are averaging 9.63 made three-pointers per game with a high of 15 made against Florida Gulf Coast on the road. Graduate guard Tyren Moore leads the Eagles with 57 made three-pointers and also leads the Sun Belt Conference.
- Eagle Nation showed out last weekend at The Hill posting an overall weekend attendance of 5,596 across both contests. That number is the most fans to enter the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center during a weekend of play in the history of the building being open.
- Georgia Southern men's basketball has been one of the most prolific scoring teams in the Sun Belt Conference since joining the league during the 2014-15 season. In the 12 years since the Eagles' arrival, Georgia Southern has posted a 43-3 record when scoring 90-plus points in a game. For the 2025-26 season, the Eagles have secured an 8-0 record when tallying 90-plus points per game.
- The Eagles have been strongest inside the friendly confines of the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center, posting an all-time record of 16-4. In those 20 contests, the Eagles are averaging just over 80 points per game (81.7). This season, Georgia Southern has posted an 8-1 record inside The Hill, averaging 88.4 points per game, while allowed 75.5 points per game.
