
PREVIEW: Eagles Open Extended Home Stand this Weekend with Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's basketball (12-6, 4-1 SBC) returns to the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation center this weekend, opening a four-game home stand. The Eagles open the home stand with Old Dominion (5-13, 2-4 SBC) on Thursday, before hosting Coastal Carolina (9-9, 2-4 SBC). Thursday's contest will tip-off at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Thursday the first 500 fans will receive a retro style rope hat, with the addition of Thirsty Thursday available at the grab-and-go station. Additionally on Thursday, the 2025 Birmingham Bowl trophy will be in attendance for fans to take photos with.

- Sporting a 10-game home winning streak dating back to last season, Georgia Southern remains the only unbeaten in Sun Belt Conference play, boasting a 7-0 record this season. Overall, Georgia Southern is 15-3 inside the friendly confines of the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Cener and are averaging 81.8 points per game during that span.
- Graduate Spudd Webb enters this weekend seventh in the Sun Belt Conference in scoring, averaging 16.4 points per game. In league play, Webb has increased that production to 17.6 points per game, eighth best in the Sun Belt.
- Georgia Southern men's basketball has been one of the more prolific scoring teams in the Sun Belt Conference since joining the league during the 2014-15 season. In the 12 years since the Eagles' arrival, Georgia Southern has posted 43-3 record when scoring 90-plus points in a game. - Senior forward Shainen Carter has been a paint eraser this season, collecting 31 blocks in 18 games for the Eagles. In his most recent stanza, Carter tied the school record for blocks in a single game, registering six against Old Dominion on Saturday. Carter joins the likes of Avante Parker (2024), Trey Dawkins (2019), Rory Spencer (2010), Louis Graham (2007), and Emmett Smith (1990). His 31 blocks are also sneaking up into the single season list, needing three more to tie Eric Ferguson (2011-12) for 12th most in a single season.
- The Eagles have made 174 total three-pointers on the season, posting the second most made in the Sun Belt Conference. The Blue and White are averaging 9.66 made three-pointers per game with a high of 15 made against Florida Gulf Coast on the road. Graduate guard Tyren Moore leads the Eagles with 46 made three-pointers.
- Georgia Southern's offensive production jumped above 80-plus points per game again this season, following a strong nine-game winning streak. The Eagles have produced 1,506 total points this season (83.7 ppg) and are second in the Sun Belt Conference.
