STATESBORO— Lexi Uhrhan has been promoted to volleyball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, head coach Chad Willis announced.

"We've been fortunate to have great continuity amongst our staff which I really believe speaks to the culture of our program and alignment throughout," he said. "For the past 2 years, Lexi has been an integral part of our continued growth as a team - her commitment to excellence and passion for people is contagious all the while equipping herself with a unique skillset I am confident will keep impacting our program at great depths. Well earned and deserved, we are excited for Lexi's opportunity in this elevated role as our assistant coach and recruiting coordinator."

Uhrhan joined the volleyball staff ahead of the 2023 season as an assistant coach and has been an integral part of the staff that has guided the Eagles to consecutive 20-win seasons for the first time since 2013 and 2014.

"Little did I know two years ago when I stepped onto campus how much this place and program would impact my life," Uhrhan said. "It has been a privilege to begin my career at such an exceptional institution and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey at Georgia Southern. I would like to thank Chad for his confidence, leadership, and mentorship. Georgia Southern has truly become my home away from home, I am excited to remain part of a community that values achieving high levels of success while also building impactful relationships. This is a special program and I'm eager to keep working alongside Chad, E and our student-athletes to build champions on and off the court. Hail Southern!"
