Reau Ties for Fifth, Eagles Card Record Breaking Second Round at Mason Rudolph Championship

Eagles shoot 14-under par second round
NASHVILLE, TN – Sophomore Louise Reau shined once again finishing inside the top-5 as Georgia Southern women's golf used a record breaking second round to finish eighth at a competitive Mason Rudolph Championship on Sunday.
Reau compiled three complete rounds shooting 68-67-71 (-10) to finish tied for fifth in the tournament. The 10-under is the second lowest 54-hole total in program history while the finish marks her second top-5 finish of the season and fourth of her career.
The sophomore opened the tournament teeing off on the 10th hole, carding three straight birdies while adding three more to shoot 4-under par in the opening round. The second round saw her best, carding a 5-under 67 with her first Eagle of the season on hole seven.
Georgia Southern combined for the lowest round in program history (-14) breaking its previous record set at the Tiger Classic earlier this season. Along with Reau's 5-under 67, LoraLie Cowart and Mary Miller each fired a 4-under 68 for their best rounds of the tournament. Kelsey Chen also carded her best round in the second with a 1-under 71.
The Eagles' second round performance was the best of the team tournament as it featured a combined 24 birdies with two Eagles bogey-free on the front nine.
Regina Plascencia recorded her best round in the opening round shooting a 1-under 71 and collected four birdies on the round.
