HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The No. 70-ranked Georgia Southern men's tennis collected a 4-0 Sun Belt Conference road victory over Southern Miss on Saturday in Hattiesburg, Miss.

The Eagles improved to 12-8 overall and 6-1 in the league with the win, while Southern Miss falls to 7-9 overall and 3-4 in the Sun Belt with the loss. Georgia Southern wraps up the 2024 regular season with an 11 a.m. ET match at Louisiana on Sunday.

Georgia Southern collected the doubles point with a 6-3 win by Laurent Julia Calac and Aaron James Williams over Saheb Sodhi and Olimjo Nabiev at No. 2 doubles, as well as a 6-1 win by Pol del Castillo and Matthew Mitchell over Shamirul Shahril and Pasawee Reansuwong at No. 3 doubles.

The Eagles notched a pair of straight-set wins to go up 3-0. Pierre Mouesca defeated Henry Lamchinniah, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 4 singles, then del Castillo delivered a 6-2, 6-3 win over Shahril at No. 2 singles. Aaron James Williams then notched a 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 victory over Nabiev at No. 3 singles, giving Georgia Southern the victory.

"We had a solid start today to our final road trip of the regular season," Georgia Southern head men's tennis coach Andrew Goodwin said. "We, as a team, are continuing to invest in becoming tougher and more relentless day by day. We can't wait for our regular season finale tomorrow against Louisiana."
