PREVIEW: Eagles Return Home to Host #2 Alaska

STATESBORO - The third-ranked Georgia Southern rifle squad returns to action on Friday, hosting No. 2 Alaska Fairbanks at the Shooting Sports Education Center. Action begins at 8 a.m. with a single smallbore and single air rifle relay.

Alaska enters the week with the highest team aggregate average in the country at 4,739.500 after shooting a 4,732 in Colordao on Nov. 10. The Nanooks average 2,352.000 in smallbore (second) and 2,387.500 (first) in air rifle. The Nanooks shoot at The Citadel on Thursday. Georgia Southern owns the third-best team aggregate average at 4,729.500 with a 2,346.667 (fifth) in smallbore and 2,382.333 (third) in air rifle.

This match will be the final outing of the fall for both squads.
