Eagles to take on #2 Ole Miss, Wofford
STATESBORO -Â The sixth-ranked Georgia Southern rifle squad takes its second road trip of the 2026-27 season this weekend, facing #2 Ole Miss on Saturday and Wofford on Sunday at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center in Oxford, Mississippi. Action begins at 9:15 a.m. (ET) with a single smallbore relay followed by an air rifle relay both days.Â
The Eagles are coming off a 4,740Â last weekend to top #1 West Virginia for the first win in the program's history over the top-ranked team in the country. Ole Miss, the defending national team champion in smallbore, moved up to #2 in the country with a 4,747 at Air Force last weekend and is led by two-time defending national air rifle champion Audrey Gogniat. This will be Wofford's first match of the season.
