Seven Eagles set to compete in Foley
STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern cross country team is set to compete in the Sun Belt Championship on Friday at the Graham Creek Nature Preserve in Foley, Alabama. The women's 5k race is slated for 10:15 a.m.
The championship meet marks the third consecutive season the race has been held at the neutral site venue. The Eagles finished 11th at the 2023 Championship.
LAST TIME OUT
The Eagles took third at the 17th Annual Sand Shark Invitational as five Eagles posted personal bests. The five Eagles included Isabel Ptacek, Emily Wheldo, Tristen Crosby, Ella Zierdt, and Julia Wilson. Ptacek led the team finishing second with a time of 18:24.3 followed by Wheldon who finished fourth with a time of 18:38.0. The pair recorded its second top-5 finishes of the season after finishing first and second at the GMC Brickyard Invitational.
