The Georgia Southern women's golf team returns to action at home hosting the third annual The Southern at Savannah Golf Club Oct. 14-15. The squads are set to tee off at 8:30 a.m. each round. The Eagles will tee off from holes 1-3. 

Last season the Eagles took home the team title after shooting 299-292-298 (889) to secure the victory by five strokes over Western Kentucky. Sophomore Louise Reau tied for first place to take home the individual title. 

Georgia Southern last competed at the Mason Rudolph Championship finishing eighth. The Eagles combined for the lowest round in program history (-14) breaking its previous record set at the Tiger Classic earlier this season. Reau carded a 5-under 67 while LoraLie Cowart and Mary Miller each fired a 4-under 68 for their best rounds of the tournament. Kelsey Chen also carded her best round in the second with a 1-under 71. 

Reau, Plascencia, Cowart, and Miller return to the Eagle lineup while Robinson enters the lineup for the third time this season. Chen, Schimpf, and Vardas will compete as individuals.

The Southern wraps up Georgia Southern's fall campaign as the Eagles open its spring schedule Feb 2.
