Box Score ORLANDO, FLA. - Georgia Southern men's tennis claimed the doubles point from UCF, but the Knights overcame the early deficit to notch a 6-1 win over the Eagles on Saturday in Orlando.
The Knights remained unbeaten on the year with the win, moving to 4-0, while Georgia Southern falls to 0-3 with the loss. The Eagles return to action on Thursday, facing No. 19-ranked Texas A&M in Atlanta at 3 p.m.
UCF took a win at No. 1 doubles, but the Eagles won at No. 2 and No. 3 to clinch the doubles point. Judson Blair and Aaron James Williams notched a 6-4 win over Liam Branger and Francisco Llanes at No. 2 doubles, while Matthew Mitchell and Pierre Mouesca claimed a 6-2 win over Yassine Dlimi and Mehdi Benchakroun at No. 3 doubles.
The Knights then clinched the match with straight-set singles wins at all six singles spots.
