NCAA SCORECARD
MURRAY, Ky. - The sixth-ranked Georgia Southern rifle team continued its winning ways Sunday at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range, rolling past #18 UT-Martin, 4,738-4,617. Three individual records were tied and the Eagles set or tied another three team marks to improve to 10-1 on the season.
In smallbore,
Ella Goldfaden tied her career high with a 589 to take first, and was followed closely by four other Eagles.
Emma Pohlmann took second with a 588,
Bremen Butler tied her career best with a 587,
Amy Visconti tied her career high with a 586 and
Addy Burrow took fifth with a 585.
Zahra Gonzalez Mazo placed sixth with a 579 and was followed by
Bella Gamez (561) and
Brooklynne Weatherford (541). As a team, the Eagles tied the school record they set yesterday with a 2,349.
In air rifle, Pohlmann tied Rosemary Kramer's school record with a 599 to lead the way. Goldfaden tied her career best with a 598 to take second. Burrow posted a 597 for third place and Gonzalez Mazo shot a 595 to round out the team scoring. Weatherford (career-high 592), Visconti (586), Butler (580) and Gamez (573) rounded out the scoring. As a team, the Eagles posted a school-record 2,389, tied for the second-highest score in the country this season.
The Eagles were led in aggregate by Pohlmann and Goldfaden, who both tied the school record with a 1,187. Burrow took third with a 1,182, followed by Gonzalez Mazo (1,174; 4th), Visconti (career-high 1,172; 5th) and Butler (1,167; 7th). The team aggregate of 4,738 set a new school record, breaking the mark set on Saturday. It is tied for the ninth-highest score in the country this year.
