STATESBORO - This summer, GSEagles.com is getting to know each of the 10 members of the 2023-24 Georgia Southern men's gof team. Up next is redshirt sophomore Ian Glanton, who would love to be able to fly and would have liked to try baseball if golf hadn't worked out. Let's get to know Ian.

Major: Finance
Why did you choose Georgia Southern University?
I chose GS mainly because of the people I would be around. The program has a family like culture and it was something that I wanted to be a part of.
What is your favorite aspect of the Bennett-Ramsey Golf Facility?
My favorite thing about the facility is the loop. It's always a lot of fun to go play with a few teammates.
Who are your three favorite professional (current or former) golfers and why?
My favorite professional golfers are Ben Carr, Wilson Andress, Colin Bowles, and Mason Williams. They are my favorites because of everything I have learned from them and how fun they are to watch.
If you hadn't come to college to play golf, what sport would you have tried to play collegiately?
Baseball
What is the best score you've ever shot? When and where?
My best is 61 (-10) at Willow Lake Golf Club on May 6, 2020.
What's your favorite of the four majors?
The Masters
Which person has made the biggest impact on you in your career? How so?
My dad. He is always there for me and always pushing me to be better.
Are you more of a dog or cat person?
Dog
Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?
Christian Bale
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
To be able to fly
