Women’s Golf Places 12th at Valspar Augusta Invitational

The field featured six teams in the top-25.
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Haley Yerxa shot 72-73=145 (+1) to tie for 14th and lead the Georgia Southern women's golf team to a 12th-place finish at the Valspar Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The field featured seven teams in Golfstat's top-50 and six in the top-25. Second-ranked Wake Forest won the event, and tournament host Augusta finished second. No. 12 Florida State was third, while No. 18 Ole Miss tied for fourth with No. 21 Florida. The teams played two rounds Saturday, and Sunday's round was washed out due to weather.
Yerxa played the front nine 2-under with birdies at 3 and 8 on her way to a 72 in the first round and birdied her last two holes of the second round to post 73. It was her fifth top-20 finish this season and in a field that had 16 players in Golfstat's top-100.
