STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern athletic marketing team announced the 2023 baseball promotion schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 1. 27 of the 30 home contests at J.I. Clements Stadium will feature a fun-filled theme for fans of all ages to enjoy.
Feb. 28 will be Top Gun Night, where the Eagles will host I-16 rival Mercer. The athletic marketing team will also be distributing free Top Gun themed-shirts. Get ready to rev up your engine and ride into the danger zone on Top Gun Night!
March 31 against new Sun Belt foe Old Dominion will be Arcade Night, where vintage arcade machines will line the concourse at J.I. Clements Stadium. Bring your tokens and get ready to play the classics, like Pac-Man, Galaga, and more!
The Appalachian State series from April 14 to April 16 will be the return of renowned Braves organist Matthew Kaminski. Can you guess all of the tunes he plays for players walk-up songs?
The ULM series from April 28 to April 30 will be a very busy weekend, as the team will be hosting Alumni Weekend and its annual Vs. Cancer series, where players and coaches will shave their heads after the final game of the series. This series will also be the Retro Series, where each day is a different decade (Friday - 70s, Saturday - 80s, Sunday - 90s). In addition, the 1973 College World Series team will have a 50-year recognition at Friday night's game. A vintage Georgia Southern baseball-themed giveaway item will also be distributed during the weekend.
There will be two Bark in the Park days during the course of the season. The first one will be Sunday, Feb. 26, the final day of the three-game swing against ETSU, and the second one will be on Sunday, April 16, the final day of the Appalachian State series.
