The Eagles stretched their current win streak to seven on Tuesday with a 74-48 win over Hampton in the Coastal Empire Eagle Classic, held at Enmarket Arena in Savannah ... The seven-game win streak is the longest for Georgia Southern since the 2000-01 season ... The Eagles are 9-2 on the year and will face Longwood (2-8) for the first time in program history ... Even though it's the first meeting for the two schools, Lancers head coach Erika Lang-Montgomery and GS head coach Anita Howard split six meetings as head coaches at Flagler and Columbus State, respectively ... Georgia Southern senior Terren Ward was named the Mid-Major Player of the Week by Mid-Major Madness on Wednesday. She has a streak of seven straight double-doubles, which is the longest such streak for an Eagle since 1988-89 ...
