Baseball banquet features Atlanta Braves great Andruw Jones
STATESBORO - The annual Evening with the All-Stars baseball banquet is set for Feb. 3, 2023, the Georgia Southern baseball team and Athletic Foundation announced on Wednesday. The banquet will begin at 6 p.m. in the Nessmith-Lane Center on the Statesboro campus of Georgia Southern University.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a meet and greet with five-time MLB All-Star Andruw Jones at the Nessmith-Lane Center for those who purchased the Home Run or Grand Slam ticket packages. At 6 p.m., the silent auction and a cocktail social hour will both begin, allowing participants to socialize and try to win great Eagle baseball prizes. At 7 p.m., the banquet will begin with a word from Jones as well as a plated dinner service. The awards for the 2022 Eagles baseball team will also be given out at this event. A live auction and raffle drawing will also happen at this time.
There are three different ticket tiers that fans can purchase: the Grand Slam Table Package comes with seven seats at a table, seven drink tickets, four meet-and-greet packages and more for $1,200. The Home Run Table Packages two meet-and-greet packages, dinner with an Eagle baseball player, and more for $800. Individual adult tickets get fans a plated dinner at the event for $75, and a youth ticket (age 17 and under) is $50.
