STATESBORO – Georgia Southern returns to action at the Georgia Tech Invitational April 22-23 at George C. Griffin Track.

Field events begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday. Running events begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.

Georgia Southern competed in the Gamecock Invitational last Saturday and posted four top-10 finishes. Catherine Hall finished second in the 1500 (4:57.81), and Nichole Harris took sixth in the 800 (2:14.38). Shania Parkinson finished sixth in the shot put (12.71m), and Sam Holbrook placed seventh in the Hammer Throw (43.18m).

Following the weekend, Georgia Southern is scheduled to host the GS Spring Classic at Eagle Field Saturday, April 30, in the Eagles' final meet before the Sun Belt Championship, which is set for May 12-14 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
