Scovia Ayikoru moved into fourth in the school record book in the 200.
Ayikoru Leads Eagle Track and Field at Georgia Tech Invitational

The Eagles host the GS Spring Classic next Saturday.
ATLANTA – Scovia Ayikoru finished second in the 200 and fourth in the 400 to lead the Georgia Southern track and field team at the Georgia Tech Invitational at George C. Griffin Track.
Ayikoru ran the 200 in 23.84 to move into fourth in the school record book and finished the 400 in 54.23. Imani Moore took ninth in the long jump (5.51m) and 11th in the triple jump (11.78m), while Sam Holbrook finished 14th in the hammer throw (44.51m).
Shania Parkinson placed 17th in the shot put (12.72m) and 20th in the discus (37.48m), and MaKenna Hillmer finished 19th in the 400 hurdles (1:05.90).

"This meet usually provides some great competition and great weather for great performances, and our Eagles really stepped up to the challenge this week. We have a good deal of our student-athletes from the state of Georgia, and competing in Atlanta helps give their families a chance to see them. It was a great weekend of competition for our program."
