Georgia Southern is back in action at the Georgia Tech Invitational next weekend.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Georgia Southern track and field team posted four top-10 finishes at the Gamecock Invitational Saturday at the Sheila and Morris Cregger Track.

Catherine Hall finished second in the 1500 (4:57.81), and Nichole Harris took sixth in the 800 (2:14.38). Shania Parkinson finished sixth in the shot put (12.71m), and Sam Holbrook placed seventh in the Hammer Throw (43.18m).

"It was a great day of work at the University of South Carolina today. We had to fight through a rainstorm today, but to be honest, we're getting accustomed to facing adversity from the weather this spring. Things are coming together for our team. They are learning how to persevere and succeed, and it makes me excited for what is ahead as we prepare for the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championship."
