STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern men's tennis team returns to Statesboro to host a match against the South Carolina State Bulldogs on Sunday, March 6. First serve is set for 1 p.m. at the Wallis Tennis Center.
SERIES: The Eagles and the Bulldogs have met 11 times on the hardtop, with the Eagles holding a 6-5 advantage in the series, after winning the last five matches. The Eagles last loss to SCSU was in 2014.
SCSU OUTLOOK: The Bulldogs are currently 3-4 on the season, losing four straight before picking up a win in their last match against common opponent Gardner-Webb. They have also played common opponent North Florida, and also suffered a loss to the Ospreys. SCSU is the defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) champion.
UP NEXT: The Eagles will stay home and host Mercer for an intrastate competition at the Wallis Tennis Center. First serve is set for 2 p.m. on Friday, March 11.
