PREVIEW: Eagles Set to Shoot Twice This Weekend

Season ramping up to SoCon Championships next month
STATESBORO - The 18th-ranked Georgia Southern rifle returns to action this weekend as the regular season begins to wind down. With just over a month remaining until the conference championships, the Eagles will host Wofford on Saturday and then will travel to Dahlonega, Georgia, for Sunday SoCon action against No. 17 North Georgia and Wofford.
Prep and sighters begin at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday with action starting at 8 a.m. at the Shooting Sports Education Center. Roughly the same schedule will be followed on Sunday, but will involve two relays due to the number of shooters on the three teams involved.

Both days, all squads will have up to five counters participating in both the USA Shooting 60-shot 3x20 small bore and 60-shot air rifle disciplines. The top four scores from both disciplines are used to determine the scores.
For the Eagles, all eight team members are scheduled to see action: Erin Ballard, Bella Gamez, Kinsley Hannon, Lillian Herring, Ashley Judson, Anna Mayo, Gabby Morrow and Amy Visconti.
