JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Georgia Southern men's tennis team fell on the road against the North Florida Ospreys, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon.
The afternoon opened with the double matches, where UNF got on the board first. Pol del Castillo and Laurent Julia Calac finished their match first, which ended in a 6-1 defeat in the No. 3 position. Alexandros Roumpis and Valentin Dun fell 6-3 in the No. 2 position, giving the Ospreys a 1-0 lead heading into the singles matches. Tao Castillo and Jacob Mitchel fought hard to keep their match alive, but fell to the Ospreys 7-5 in the No. 1 position.
In singles, the Ospreys won the majority of first set but every position was competitive, UNF went up 3-0 after Julia Calac and Paliouras lost their matches. Moments latter Dun lost his match and Roumpis won at number 3 position which gave UNF 4 points. At the number 1 and 2 positions Castillo and Del Castillo end it up winning their respective matches to complete the afternoon.

We are competing hard, and fighting from the first point to the last one. Today we came up short but we are on the right track. We have two more road matches next weekend in Nashville and we are look forward to be competing again."
UP NEXT: The Eagles will play two matches in Nashville, Tennessee, next weekend. They will visit the Lipscomb Bison on Friday, Feb. 25 then head up Belmont Boulevard to face the Belmont Bruins on Saturday, Feb. 26. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. respectively.
