DELAND, Fla. – The Georgia Southern men's tennis team fell on the road to the Stetson Hatters, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon.
The afternoon's matches started with the doubles contests, where Tao Castillo and Jacob Mitchell in the No. 1 doubles match quickly won in a 6-1 decision. Pol del Castillo and Laurent Julia Calac competed in the No. 2 doubles match, where they fell 6-3, and Alexandros Roumpis and Dimitris Paliouras fell in the No. 3 doubles match, 7-5, to give the Hatters a 1-0 advantage going into singles.
In singles, Stetson took a very quick lead and clinched the match, after the Hatters defeated Castillo, Julia Calac and Roumpis in the No. 3, 6, and 2 singles matches, respectively, giving the Hatters a 4-0 lead to that point. They would eventually push to lead to 6-0, after defeating Paliouras and Valentin Dun in the No. 4 and 5 matches, respectively.
In the final match, coming at No. 1 singles match, del Castillo would push his match to a third set, where he would pick up a big 6-4, 5-7, 10-8 win.

UP NEXT: The Eagles will head north on I-95 to face the North Florida Ospreys in Jacksonville, Florida, with first serve set for noon on Sunday.
