Team posts new school aggregate record in wins over UNG, Wofford

DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The 18th-ranked Georgia Southern rifle team put together two elite team performances Sunday and a school-record aggregate score to down No. 17 North Georgia and Wofford at the Colonel Raymond C. Hamilton Rifle Range.
In smallbore, Amy Visconti shot a career-high 581 to take the gold. It was tied for the third-highest score in program history. Erin Ballard also put up a strong 578 to take the silver. The duo helped lead a strong team score of 2,288, just one off the school record. Bella Gamez placed sixth with a 566, Ashley Judson tied for seventh with a 563 and Kinsley Hannon placed 10th with a 547.
In air rifle, the Eagles posted five strong scores to down the Nighthawks by one. Visconti, Ballard and Hannon all shot 585 to tie for third while Judson shot a 582 to place sixth. Gabby Morrow put up a 575 to place ninth.
The Eagles posted a 4,625 aggregate, breaking the school record of 4,621 they set a few weeks ago. Visconti led the way with a career-high 1,166 to take the gold. Ballard continued her hot stretch with a 1,163 to take the silver. Judson took sixth with a 1,142 and Hannon placed eighth with a 1,132
