PREVIEW: Georgia Southern Prepares for Battle With #3 Kentucky

STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team will take on the third-ranked Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday, October 9, at the Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 7 PM from the Bluegrass State.

The Eagles and the Wildcats have met twice, with GS owning a 1-0-1 record all-time against UK. Georgia Southern won a neutral site match in Tampa back in 1994, 2-1, and the two programs tied in Lexington, 1-1, in 2004.

The Eagles come in with a 1-9-0 record after falling in conference action to Georgia State, 4-2. Kentucky comes in with a 7-0-2 record, one of five undefeated teams in the nation, and is coming off a 3-1 win over James Madison on the road.

The Eagles will continue SBC play with a Friday night match against JMU on October 14. Kickoff from Eagle Field is set for 7 PM.
