Georgia Southern faces Kennesaw State Saturday afternoon.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alex Kells tallied 13 kills, and Sam Gomez added 12 to lead UAB to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-14) volleyball win over Georgia Southern Friday night in the Blazer Invitational in Bartow Arena.
Eagles of the Match
Maddie Bryant recorded a team-high 10 kills and added four digs in her season debut, and Mya Wilson posted nine kills and four blocks while hitting .412 in her first contest of the season.

Trailing 2-0 in the match, the Eagles (3-1) scored seven out of nine points and opened a 9-8 lead in the third set on a kill by Hannah McGlockton. UAB (1-2) responded by scoring five straight and nine of 10 to surge to a 17-10 cushion.
