STATESBORO - Eagle fans driving around the state will notice new billboards strategically have been placed to spread the word of Georgia Southern Athletics. Beginning this week and running through the fall, fans can find three static billboards letting everyone know exactly how far they are from Statesboro.
Boards have been placed along I-75 in between Atlanta and Macon, along I-95 between Savannah and Statesboro and on US 316 between Atlanta and Athens, giving drivers their exact mileage from the 'Boro. There will also be a digital board on US 67 right off I-16 welcoming fans to Statesboro.
Leading into home football weekends, digital boards will also be up in and around the Savannah and Atlanta areas promoting home football games with the theme "Ready to GATA."
Additionally, the department will have a digital board in Atlanta wishing former Eagle kicker and now Falcon kicker Younghoe Koo good luck in his home opener.
Fans of the Eagles are encouraged to safely take photos of the billboards while in the passenger seat of a car and post to social media, tagging @GSAthletics across all platforms.
