STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern women's golf team will compete in four events in Georgia, three in South Carolina and three in Florida as part of its 2021-22 schedule, announced today by first-year head coach
Mimi Burke.

The Eagles will open the season with The Match against Augusta (Sept. 13) at Frederica Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Georgia. GS opens team tournament competition at the Lady Paladin Invitational (Sept. 24-25) for the Eagles' fifth appearance in the event. It will be the first of three straight events in South Carolina as Georgia Southern plays at the Edisto Island Invitational (Oct. 10-12) and the Buccaneer Classic (Oct. 18-19) before capping the fall at the Mercer Invitational (Nov. 8-9) for the second-straight year.
The spring portion of the season opens with consecutive trips to Jacksonville, Florida, as the Eagles compete in the First Coast Classic (Feb. 14-15) and UNF Collegiate (March 7-8), Georgia Southern's fifth-straight appearance in North Florida's home tournament.
GS plays in its first Valspar Intercollegiate at Augusta (March 12-13) before traveling to Athens, Georgia, for its first appearance in the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic (March 24-27). The Eagles wrap up the regular season at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State (April 4-5).
The Sun Belt Championship will be at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida, for a third time. The Eagles have finished third in each of the previous two conference championships held there.
Georgia Southern returns four letterwinners from the 2020-21 roster, while Mia Kness, Sarunchana Rattanasin, Alexandra Stevenson and Karlee Vardas will make their Eagle debuts this season.
