Mauro Gutierrez-Solis and
Adam Davie both scored within the first 12 minutes of tonight's match to give the Eagles the edge in a shortened exhibition match at Eagle Field.Â

Maverick Boring began in net for the Eagles tallying nearly 32 minutes of play, before giving way to
Jose Eduardo Bomfim. Bomfim would record one save in the 29 minutes of play, before
Jokull Blaengsson played the final 26 minutes, recording one save.Â

Freshman
Mauro Gutierrez-Solis put the Eagles on the scoresheet in the ninth minute, driving through the North Georgia defense and scoring in the bottom left corner.
Jeremiah Luoma was credited with the assist, after feeding a ball over the top to Gutierrez-Solis.

Adam Davie continued the scoring just three minutes later, moving quickly on a free kick to catch the Nighthawks keeper sleeping. Davie took the free kick immediately after the foul was awarded and scored from 25-yards out.

North Georgia would continue to have its chances in the first half, as Gabriel Campora took a long shot from 27-yards out to beat
Maverick Boring in the top right corner.Â

The Eagles will now have the week to prepare for the season opener and home opener on August 26 against Presbyterian. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. following the women's soccer home opener at 4 p.m.Â
