Georgia Southern heads up to Ohio to take on the Akron Zips for the conference opener.
This is the first ever conference match for the Eagles as members of the Mid-American Conference (MAC).
The Eagles are set to face the Zips for the first time in program history.
This is also the first time Georgia Southern is playing a team from the state of Ohio.
Akron has already opened conference play with a 0-0 2OT tie against #3 West Virginia.
Akron was picked second in the MAC preseason poll, just behind West Virginia who will be heading to C-USA after the season.
