NOTES
QUOTING COACH MURPHY
"I thought the boys put in a hard shift tonight against a very good Akron squad. They moved the ball as well as any team I have seen in the six seasons I have been at Southern. Despite that fact, we had several moments throughout the match that showed the potential of our young team. Jacob, Mauro and Adam covered every inch of the pitch tonight and led a collective team effort. I'm proud of their grit and know we will come away better for this defeat. Our focus will now be on Bowling Green this Saturday night."
