
XC Preview: Eagles Host GATA XC Classic

The race is set for 5 p.m. Friday at the Bulloch County Disc Golf Course.
STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern cross country team hosts the GATA XC Classic Friday, Oct. 15, at the Bulloch County Disc Golf Course in Statesboro. The women's race will start at 5 p.m., and the men's race is set for a 5:30 p.m. start.
The Eagles are coming off a 15th-place finish at the Asics Invitational Oct. 2. Katie Ranck and Isabel Clayton ran personal bests in the event with Ranck pacing the Eagles, followed by Isabel Ptacek. Freshman Melanie Tribick ran her first collegiate 5K, and classmate Ansley Fullen made her Georgia Southern debut.
After Friday's race, the Eagles gear up for the Sun Belt Championships Oct. 30, at Brookley by the Bay in Mobile, Alabama.
