Basketball season is just around the corner and we want to let you get to know the staff of the Georgia Southern women's basketball team! Next up is Director of Operations Haley Carter! Haley is a former Georgia Southern student-athlete, playing softball for the Eagles from 2015-18 and joined the women's basketball staff in 2019!
What is one movie that you know by heart?
I know the majority of the Disney movies, but if I have to pick one, it's The Princess and The Frog
What is your favorite Christmas gift that you have ever received?
When I was 9, I told my parents I wouldn't believe in Santa anymore unless he gave me bells from his sleigh. My mom, who was a mall manager at the time, surprised me with bells, but from a Christmas display at the mall. My faith was restored in Santa at the time, but finding out what my mom did later on made me appreciate and love her even more for going to great lengths to make me happy.
What's one adjective that describes you the best?
Loving/Caring
You can play a game of one-on-one against anyone - past or present. Who are you going up against?
I am horrible at basketball, but Cheryl Miller just so I can fangirl at the best (women's) basketball player to ever grace this earth.

3 (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee)

Best memory of your high school years?
Singing on the 30 minute bus ride to and from school everyday with my best friends, who I am still close with today
What's the last TV show that you got absolutely hooked on?Â
I have not been hooked on any show lately, but I just started binge watching all of the Marvel movies in order.Â

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
In my junior year of college I had an amazing life coach, Russell King, that shaped the way I live my life now. What he instilled in me was to always be present, patient, and grounded in the moment, and when faced with success or hardships, recite the serenity prayer in totality. I have "serenity" tattooed above my elbow crease to remind me of this every day.Â
