The teams will look to reschedule in mid-October.
STATESBORO – Appalachian State has postponed its three-match volleyball series against Georgia Southern originally scheduled for this weekend in Hanner Fieldhouse.
The schools will look to play the contests Oct. 15-16 in Hanner Fieldhouse.
"Clearly, we're disappointed not to be opening up our season this weekend," said Georgia Southern coach Chad Willis. "We consistently talk as a team about focusing on controlling what we can control, and unfortunately, this is one of those situations where that's not the case. We'll continue to press forward, focusing on working hard and getting better each day and when the opportunity presents itself, our team is ready to compete. We can't wait to see Eagle Nation back in Hanner on October 9th against Troy!"
Georgia Southern is now scheduled to open the 2020 season in Atlanta against Georgia State. The Eagles and Panthers are scheduled to meet Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 in GSU Sports Arena.
