
Three Eagles Named Women’s Golf All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has named Georgia Southern's Ella Ofstedahl, Sarah Noonan and Alberte Thuesen All-American Scholars.
Ofstedahl and Noonan earn the honor for the third consecutive season, while Thuesen receives the accolade in her first year of eligibility. All three student-athletes were named to the Georgia Southern President's List in the fall and in the spring (4.0 grade point average).
Ofstedahl ranked fifth in the Sun Belt and led the Eagles in scoring average with a mark of 73.56. The senior finished in the top-25 in all six events, placing in the top-10 three times.
Noonan played in five tournaments and tallied a 77.33 scoring average, the third best on the team, while posting two top-25 finishes.
Thuesen ranked sixth in the Sun Belt and second on the team with a 73.67 scoring average. The freshman placed in the top-20 in five tournaments and finished in the top-10 four times.
A total of 1,401 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
