STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern men's tennis team is set to host South Florida Saturday at the Wallis Tennis Center.
Action is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. against the Bulls with doubles play.
Last time out:
The Eagles (8-8) dropped a pair of matches this past weekend to Bryant and East Carolina. The Eagles fell 3-4 to the Bulldogs before losing 2-4 to the Pirates.
Diego Finkelstein is currently in a tie for No. 2 in total career singles wins in Georgia Southern history with 73.
South Florida Series history:
The series is tied 3-3 but the Bulls have won the past three straight. The Eagles lost 0-7 in 2005 in the most recent meeting.
About USF:
The Bulls (5-4) have faced a tough schedule in 2020 having faced three top-15 ranked teams. The team fell 0-4 against No. 2 Florida, 0-7 to No. 13 Columbia and 1-6 to No. 12 TCU. They are also scheduled to face previously No. 23 ranked Mississippi in a match that was postponed in late Jan. USF holds wins over FGCU, East Tennessee, Florida Atlantic, Fresno State and Stetson.

The Eagles were originally scheduled to play UNC-Wilmington Sunday but chose to postpone due to expected weather. The team travels to Winthrop for a 2:00 p.m. match on March 8.
