HEAD COACH JOHN MURPHY COMMENTS
"I thought that Georgia State was everything we expected them to be. They are a very mature, talented team, and they moved the ball around well. At the start of the game, I thought they had a good grip of it. They scored the early goal, and then we settled in a bit. We made some adjustments at halftime that changed pattern a little, but their second goal made it difficult. I was pleased with the fight from our kids at the end. I've got to give our captains, Adam Davie and Jack Philp, credit as they led us the best they could.
"It's never good to lose to Georgia State in anything but we play them twice this season, so we'll get them back in Statesboro later this month. For now, we're going to focus on Central Arkansas on Saturday and see if we can get back to the winning ways in the Sun Belt."Â
