STATESBORO – Fielding an expected solid team for the 2020 season, the Georgia Southern baseball team will be tested with a strong slate of teams but have the opportunity to prove themselves against several top programs as highlighted in D1Baseball.com's preseason top-25 released Wednesday.
The Eagles face six opponents over 18 games during the 2020 season ranked across D1 Baseball, Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game's preseason rankings.
The first overall opponent of the season will be a tough one as Ball State comes to Statesboro for a four-game series after a 38-19 campaign in 2020 ended in the Mid-American Conference championship game. The Cardinals enter the season ranked No. 39 in the Collegiate Baseball top-40. Game one is scheduled for Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at J.I. Clements Stadium.
