STATESBORO – Georgia Southern Baseball's
Noah Ledford has been selected to the Collegiate Baseball News Freshman All-American Team. A native of Buford, Georgia, Ledford had an outstanding debut campaign with the Eagles, hitting 11 home runs while driving in 44 runs.
Ledford opened his freshman season as a fixture in the lineup, starting the first six games of the season and 49 total contests. He hit a 13
th inning home run in game two of the season against Auburn, putting the Eagles ahead of the No. 15 Tigers with a 430-foot blast, staking the Eagles to a 7-5 lead.
He finished his season with a .291 batting average while posting a .510 slugging percentage. He clubbed 10 doubles and scored 33 runs in 2019. He played in 56 of 59 games this season, helping the Eagles to reach the Sun Belt Championship game for the third time in the last four seasons.
Ledford was one of four selections from the Sun Belt Conference. He is the eighth Eagle to earn Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American Honors in the Coach Hennon Era and the first since
Seth Shuman took home the honor in 2017.
