
Fifty-Seven Student-Athletes Receive Stoles Prior to Graduation Ceremony

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern Athletics honored 57 expected graduating student-athletes with a special stole ceremony Thursday evening in the Bishop Field House. The Athletic Department handed out stoles that will be used to signify student-athletes at Saturday's Georgia Southern University commencement ceremony at Paulson Stadium where at least one member of 16 of the 17 GS athletics teams will walk across the stage.
Thirty-one of the student-athletes also received rings signifying that they will be graduating with at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA). Those 28 are Matt Anderson (BASE), Montae Glenn (MBB), Amira Atwater (WBB), Nakol Franks (WBB), Tyler Bass (FB), Alex Smith (FB), Crawford Simmons (MG), Javier Carbonell (MSOCC), Sam Choi (MSOCC), Torgeir Fjaer (MSOCC), Sebastian Gregersen (MSOCC), Emil Laursen (MSOCC), Asha Vilaythong (WSOCC), Heather Felt (SB), Shelby Wilson (SB), Morgan Fleming (S&D), Anna Kassis (S&D), Bri Mazzei (S&D), Anna Rose Moore (S&D), Hannah Mudge (S&D), Rachel Pelzek (S&D), Courtney Schaefer (S&D), Bre Stuart (S&D), Aundria Douglas (T&F), Beyunka Foster (T&F), Paige Christian (WTENN), Lindsay Truscott (WTENN), Shannon Wagner (WTENN), Julia Landavazo (VB), Joscelin Morrow (VB) and Lauren Reichard (VB).
