Friday Night Softball Suspended In 7th Inning; Revised Schedule For Troy Series

STATESBORO - Friday night's Sun Belt Conference series opener between Georgia Southern and Troy was suspended in the seventh inning due to lightning. Troy led, 6-1, with Georgia Southern at bat with one out and a runner on first base.
The revised schedule for this weekend's series begins at Noon on Saturday with completion of the suspended contest. The two teams will then play game two of their series immediately following the conclusion of game one. Game three, originally scheduled for Sunday at Noon, will then follow game two as soon as possible on Saturday due to growing weather concerns for Sunday in Statesboro.
