The Eagles compete at the Sun Belt Championship in Daytona, Fla., April 15-17 at LPGA International. The event will be shown live on ESPN+.
The Eagles finished third in the tournament last season at Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, Fla. This is the first time GS has played at LPGA International.
GS is coming off a team title and medalist honors in its last outing. The Eagles won the inaugural Strutter Gus Invitational at Georgia Southern University Golf Course April 1, and Ansley Bowman sank a 2-foot putt on the first playoff hole to win medalist honors.
Bowman is the first Eagle to earn medalist honors in the history of the program, which is in its fourth season. The team title is the second for the program and the first since the 2017 Spring Break Shootout.
Three other Eagles finished in the top-10 with Ella Ofstedahl taking third, Natalie Petersen finishing seventh and Sarah Noonan placing 10th. Julianna Collett tied for 21st.
Ofstedahl has four top-10 finishes and placed in the top-5 three times this season, and Noonan's 10th-place finish is her best this season and the second best of her career. Petersen's seventh-place finish is her best this season, and Collett has placed in the top-25 in her last two tournaments.
The Eagles will use the same lineup for the third straight tournament. Bowman makes her 38th start for the Eagles, and Ofstedahl makes her 25th. Julianna Collett is in the lineup for the 17th time, and Natalie Petersen makes her 20th start in 21 career events. Noonan is in the lineup for the seventh time this season and makes her 18th career start.
The Eagles are seeded fifth and are paired with Georgia State and Troy. GS will tee off the first hole at 8 a.m. Monday.
